    MoEFCCCertificateofExcellencePunjab State Council for Science & Technology was awarded the Certificate of Excellence by the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Govt. of India on 17.05.2024 for outstanding performance in implementation of the Environment Education Programme during 2023-24.

    under Green Schools Programme-2023-24

    Award_bestStatePSCST was awarded as the Best State Award under Green Schools Programme-2023-24 by Centre for Science & Environment on 30th January, 2024 by Sh. Sanjay Kumar, Union Education Secretary, Govt. of India. Punjab schools submitted maximum of 4,734 audit reports out of 5,305 schools that participated in this PAN India programme.
  • Best District Award for Sangrur
    under GSP-2023-24

    Award%20_bestDistrictPSCST was awarded the Best District Award for Sangrur under the Green Schools Programme-2023-24 of Centre of Science & Environment for submitting highest no. of audit reports (503) among all districts of the country.
  • Regional Centre of Expertise on Education for Sustainable Development Award for Environment Education Programme

    RCE2023PSCST has been conferred with RCE Recognition Award by the United Nations University Institute of Advanced Studies for its contribution to Environment Education through Eco-Clubs
  • National IP Award

    National IP Award PSCST conferred with National IP Award instituted by CGPDTM India, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India in Technology Innovation Support Centre category. Award received by Dr. Jatinder Kaur Arora, EDPSCST from Sh. Piyush Goyal, Honorable Union Minister for Commerce & Industry
  • IP Recognition Award

    IPawardPatent Information Centre/Technology Innovation Support Centre is state nodal agency for providing IP services to innovators of the state. The centre was conferred with ‘IP Recognition Award’ for impeccable contributions in IP during COVID by IPTSE (Intellectual Property Talent Search Exam) Academy in association with ASSOCHAM & Ericsson on the eve of World IP Day 2021.
  • SDG Action Award 2020

    AwardsSDG Action Awards for ‘Environment Sustainability’ of UNDP and Govt. of Punjab are conferred on organizations and individuals who have contributed towards sustainable development in the State with exemplary initiatives that have led to significant impact. PSCST received this award on 28th September, 2020 for promoting cleaner technologies to enhance State’s Resilience Capacity.
  • Punjab Sarkar Parman Patra

    Awards
    Over the years, 8 scientists & engineers of PSCST have received Punjab Sarkar Parman Patra for exemplary service in the field of Science & Technology. Out of these, 2 currently serving PSCST include Dr. Jatinder Kaur Arora (awarded in 2007) and Er. Pritpal Singh (awarded in 2012) while others have superannuated.
  • Best State Award for promoting Green Schools

    Awards
    PSCST was awarded by Union Minister for Human Resource Development for Green Audit initiative in schools in the year 2017. As a result of PSCST’s initiative, out of 2514 schools that participated in this PAN India programme, 459 were from Punjab. The school that ranked first was also from Punjab.
  • National Award for Women’s Development through application of Science & Technology

    The Department of Science & Technology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India has instituted ‘National Award for Women’s Development through application of Science & Technology’ to recognize outstanding contributions of individuals/organizations for women’s development through Science & Technology. In view of her contributions in this sphere, Dr. Jatinder Kaur Arora was conferred with this award by the President of India on the occasion of Technology Day in 2007 which also included cash award of Rs. 1 Lakh.
  • RCE Recognition Awards

    Regional Centres of Expertise (RCE) is a global network developed by United Nations University, Institute of Advanced Studies (UNU-IAS), Japan for promoting initiatives on Education for Sustainable Development. PSCST has been recognized as one of the Regional Centre of Expertise (RCE-Chandigarh) under this Network. Chandigarh. The UNU-IAS reviews and awards publications of various RCEs from time to time. Our 3 publications have received UNU-IAS’s ‘Recognition Awards’. The publication on ‘Vulture’ – an endangered bird has been awarded for its contribution to capacity building in the field of biodiversity while the publication on ‘Climate Change’ has been awarded for articulating information and collaboration regarding climate change issues at the local level and the publication on ‘Northern Goshawk’ for detailed documentation of State Bird of Punjab.
  • Indian Television Academy’s Gr8! Women Award

    As over the centuries, women have been considered to be home makers and not encouraged to work , with the beginning of 21st century, the Indian Television Academy started Gr8! Women Awards to accord recognition and honour to the pluck and panache of women, who have etched out an identity of their own on the walls of time. Threaded into Awards is ‘beti’, which is a movement against the scourge of female foeticide. The Award Ceremony held annually is awash with the illuminati from all walks of life. In 2010, Dr. Jatinder Kaur Arora, presently Executive Director, PSCST received this award in ‘Science & Technology’ category alongwith 24 other women selected from across the country including glitterati like Aishwariya Rai for Global Recognition, Sushmita Sen for Social Work, Zoya Akhtar for Film Direction, Saroj Khan for Choreography etc.
