Green Schools Programme in Punjab

Punjab State Council for Science & Technology under its Environment Education Programme has introduced Green Schools Programme (GSP) in Punjab which involves Eco-clubs to initiate hands-on and thought provoking activities such as environment audits, consumption of natural resources within school campuses, energy auditing and deploying pragmatic solutions to reduce wastage of precious resources.

The Green Schools Programme has been launched in association with SCERT Punjab and Centre for Science & Environment (CSE) through a two-day workshop that was exclusively designed for school Eco-Club Coordinators from all districts of Punjab to help them bolster and continue the discourses and teachings on environmental education in schools and exploring new avenues for actions under environment education in schools of Punjab.
